Privacy Policy

The Joint Economic Data Hub (JEDHub) was developed by the UK Defence Solutions Centre (UKDSC) in partnership with the Ministry of Defence (MoD). UKDSC is not a legal entity, it therefore uses ADS Group Limited (number 07016635) to operate but remains functionally separate from ADS.

Both the MoD and UKDSC takes your privacy very seriously, and we ask that you read this privacy policy carefully as it contains important information on:

• the personal information that is collected about you;
• what happens to your information, and;
• who your information might be shared with.

Personal information collected about you

We track use of the JEDHub website without the use of cookies or collection of personally identifiable information (PII), in aggregate form.

An account is required to complete the JEDHub survey. When requesting an account, a point of contact is required to enter their personal information, which includes:

• Forename and Surname
• Business e-mail address
• Direct telephone/mobile
• Job title

How we use your personal information and our legal basis for processing your personal data

The main processing activity for personal information, and the legal basis on which we perform those activities, are in relation to your use of the JEDHub portal and the survey response. However, we may process your personal information for a variety of other reasons, including because:

• we are legally obliged to e.g. to confirm your identity; or
• it is in our legitimate business interests to do so

Your personal information will be stored on secure cloud-based servers based in the UK only.

Access to your account is controlled by a password and username that are unique to you and we will use technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal information and ensure it is only accessed by UKDSC and the MoD.

We will keep your personal information for as long as we need to for the purpose for which it was collected.

Who we share your personal information with

JEDHub is maintained solely by UKDSC. The only third party your personal information may be shared with is the Ministry of Defence (MoD) who will have access to the information contained in the JEDHub portal and ADS Group Limited in the event of a complaint about how your data has been processed.

Your rights

You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide to us is accurate, complete and up to date. You can review and change your information by contacting us at dl_jedhub@ukdsc.org

You have several rights in relation to your personal information including, the right to find out how we process your data and to correct your personal information if you believe it is incorrect or inaccurate. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK supervisory body, the Information Commissioner’s Office (the ICO) at https://ico.org.uk/.
